Sony has teamed up with the National Tourism Board to launch a new audio guide service for visitors. The service will use Sony’s audio technology to give tourists clear and engaging information at major attractions. This partnership aims to improve the travel experience by offering easy-to-use, high-quality sound guides in multiple languages.

The audio guides will be available at key heritage sites, museums, and national parks starting next month. They feature noise-canceling headphones made by Sony and content written with input from local historians and tourism experts. Users can pick up a device at visitor centers or download the guide through a mobile app.

Officials from both Sony and the Tourism Board say this project supports efforts to welcome more international travelers. It also helps share the country’s culture and stories in a way that feels personal and immersive. The guides include background on each location, fun facts, and tips for getting around.

Sony’s head of consumer electronics called the collaboration a natural fit. He said great sound can bring history and places to life. The Tourism Board’s director added that modern tools like this make sightseeing more enjoyable for everyone, including families and older guests.

Testing of the audio guides began last year at three pilot sites. Feedback from early users was positive, with many praising the clarity of the narration and ease of use. Based on that response, the program is now expanding nationwide. More sites will be added over the next six months as part of a phased rollout.
